    After another attempt today before sundown I've come to realize something..why when I get my backing wrench propped and secure does the piping deflect out and twist upon trying to break the hose nut free? The reason is because I'm working from one side only with my wrenches at 9 and 10 o'clock...

    That sounds like a good idea there..as far as falling I'm not on a ladder but have the boom positioned over the back corner of my dump truck bed. I just climb up in the bed and get a good stance

    Yeah I actually had a pipe wrench on that piping nut and positioned into the boom..as I get torsion on the hyd hose nut it plants itself like its ready for the loosening leverage then all of a sudden the piping deflects and pulls the wrenches with it..Im gonna try heat and blows with hammers...

    I've removed many hydraulic hoses at different locations on my ex120 but never have experienced this one..Trying to replace one of the hoses at my stick cyl and it's at the floating end of the piping..when I get a good bite on the hose nut and the piping nut and begin to lay in to it the piping...

    1982 Ford F800 Dump bed operation

    Glad this post is here..helps me understand the dump bed on my newly acquired 85 f700..haven't got to the point of operating it yet but being my first dump truck this sure helps and lets me know what to look for...by the way is there a hyd fluid reservoir for the dump cyl somewhere on these trucks?

    Question about rear air brakes on an 86 F700

    Haven't thought about a chance of broke up springs in the cans..I will tend to them most certainly if at start up they dont release the spring brakes..if i do get the truck running soon I'm clueless as to what to expect the brakes to do..have watched a few YouTube videos concerning some pressure...

    Your right..i see it now..as it crosses the hole opening..that one was starting to turn my stomach..I have it parked just off the gravel drive a bit and lately haven't been able to really crawl around under there because of wet ground which makes slick clay mud..so just kinda pointed the phone...

    I believe that is correct..not familiar with the ford gas engines of that era but sounds about right.

    Yeah..its something emissions i think that has dropped down from its mount dangling down with vac hoses..will try to get more pics up soon ..maybe this weekend

    Thanks for the input guys..going back to dealer tomorrow to try some different part #s..gonna take one of the original bolts/nuts with me...I guess ive learned a tough lesson on this one being my first experience with a track fix...I actually thought my only real issue was the bolts being too...
