    Hitachi 120-2 questions and anwsers

That's an interesting direction as most go the other way. I can appreciate that it would be nice to operate the Ex with the features Hitachi intended, particularly the work modes. Losing travel speeds is a bit of a bummer, but livable. That said, it also seems to me like actuating those...

    Hitachi 120-2 questions and anwsers

This is a great discussion on the hydraulic conversion- judst read through the wohle thing and now know not to waste my time chasing the speed change not working! I've got an EX200-2 that came with the hyd controller and overall the machine works very well. She's pretty leaky between the pump...

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

Any idea if there are o-rings between there? Seems like there would have to be but I know that's an aftermarket kit. And, that's the lack of a rubber seal is the only reason it makes sense that there is RTV pushing out from under it. I've looked at several different ads for the part, but none...

That's on top of the other one you're about to tell me about! lol Fingers crossed it isn't too bad.

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

Pic from another day... One of my errors may be that I need to pull of the pump regulator or whatever that almost rusty conversion thing on top is. Will I have to drain the tank below the height of that regulator to take it off? Is there an O-ring or two between that regulator and the pump...

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

I thought about unhooking the pump supply tube to drain it but I had that air to the pump problem in mind and figured that gallon was better off staying in. Thoughts?

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

I looked at that as a concern, but since the pump supply tube on the bottom of the tank stayed full, when I refilled the tank, no air should have been introduced to the pump. Crazy talk? The pilot side would have had a little bit of air in it, but there aren't any bleeders on the filter...

Next up... 9. Started her up and let the system dump 10 gals into my dump buckets. That stuff came out looking the worst of all the oil. Or, maybe it was just getting dark. That oil def seemed worse than the rest. Anyway, it started to clear up at about 7-8 gals. 10. Undid my flushing...

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

Next up was the Hyd oil change- got that done on Sunday. This is what I did, y'all can tell me about my mistakes... 1. Pulled temp sensor to drain the tank, no other drain plug - had to clear the hole with a screwdriver as nothing came out! 2. Pulled the return filter and pitched it 3...

    New guy in VA

Nobody asked at the door!! I'm mostly a dirt guy after riding the street for a few years. I've got a DRZ400S which a street legal dirtbike. I'm a little more passionate about sport quads with a company called Cannondale in particular. She's stuck in Low for now at like 1.4 mph, so we'd...

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

Alright, I asked for suggestions and had to use it... I measured the surge relief to maintain position after sealing up the top. Got all the reliefs resealed, so pretty happy about that! I'll go in later and get the internals when I'm bored. Hmm, guess I better look for another criteria or...

    Tighten up this Hitachi EX200LC

Thanks again. That's a good explanation of the relief function. I went ahead and pulled the top off the relief and found the crusty o-ring. The washer under the jam nut is not removable, so the set screw has to be removed to get to the o-ring. I had one a bit larger in which sounds like a...

    Relief valve o-ring question

Yeah, would mostly agree. For Daewoo, I'm not suggesting you should take it apart w/o proper tools to set correctly when reassembled.

Somebody has to do it, and nobody else volunteers: the fixing saga

You taught those barrel kids a lesson not soon to be forgotten! However, I see a bath tub saying you smell worse than the yard dog. Are you going to stand for that that from an old yard tub?! Oh dang, it also said your excavator was ugly! Man, that yard is out of control!

    Relief valve o-ring question

Here is your huckleberry This one is so hard it may not have even been a nitrile o-ring. But it will be tomorrow.
