    Always wanted a d6r

Hey, guys , something about dozers... a machine that age probably went through a lot. What raises my eye brow is that dozer blade seems to be from a long track machine.... LGP´s wich are usually used in sand... that would explain the wear. But who ever bought the tractor new, might have ordered...

Caterpillar D6R Loss of Clutch Pressure

The PV sort of does not direct oil... it does cut off oil ... wich is not the same thing. I just don´t understand what is a solenoid control doing there... as that is suposed to be a safety feature and u can see my point. Maybe u can try run the system with the said solenoid at the X RPM...

    D6R modulating valves repeatedly sticking

OK, i though so i heard around that, that gear is timed, but that maters litle. Probaly u have to wigle the pinion or unbolt the steering motor so the gear goes up to place so u can slide the shafts... be aware shafts have a trikky assemble. In clutch steer machines one can get out the shafts...

    D6R modulating valves repeatedly sticking

Its a Diferential Steer system or a Finguer tip control? Understood u´re having troubles with the drive bevel, probably cause the bevel is not seated on the pinion, then u can´t push the shaft in, correct? As of me never worked on one like that, but that did not born as one!!!

    Cat D4D Questions

Thats an AG machine, wich at some point , or when it was sold was fitted with pusher fence. If u note there´s also the absense of lower shielding. It was not meant to dig and push, but that does not mean is a bad outfit for homesteaders as it looks quite good of tracks.

D7h transmission pump clearances (power shift)

Hey, I´m not an Hydraulic expert, but had my sort of problems solved. Something does not add up in your post as a series H machine should have a piston pump for main hydraulics. Nevertheless, with a gear type pump, pump condition can be visually ascertain, in case u can´t ID scratches and...

    D6R SHIFTING PROBLEMS

BTW, how can u hear grinding in the TXM? thats quite weird without visible destruction, sure all TMX gears are sound? planetary, sun gears a outer rings? also the needle brakes? Did u guys look at P1 and P2 pressures?

    D6R SHIFTING PROBLEMS

Well, if u already have the TXM out u can test TXM piston seals with compressed air. Or u simply invest in the future, reseal it!!! make sure TXM is not the problem. Press to the TXM system goes from priority valve. So u can tap at PV or on the rear where oil enter TXM. I´m not sure where...
