    AGM Batteries In Equipment

In my business we have a large fleet of F150s with the AGMs from the factory and we're replacing them very often. Not sure if it stems from poor charging, extreme temperature fluctuations, or parasitic drain. It's not brand related either...the ones from the factory lasted no longer than the...

Mine is a 28UX ser#16411 I think you may have better luck getting your manual than mine. Curious who you used for the seals. I didn’t know what to order at first nor did I understand all the nomenclature but after talking to a rep on the phone at Hercules he led me through it. Their prices are...

I missed the radiator hoses. Attaching them. I had more pictures attached in my original pictures post but it must limit me to four because it cut several.

Not sure what all got loaded. Using a phone to do this in the middle of the woods isn’t easy but when I get back to my computer in a few days I’ll look it over and add any that I missed. There wasn’t a part number on any rad hose being so old.

Attaching some pictures. Like I said though being a zero tail swing it’s tight in there. Only one small spot for a battery. Hope those throttle linkages help, but It may not be a stock setup. It’s an old machine. The seat is definitely a home brew.

    Jerky

It's worth a try! I'm not fully understanding quickdraw's issues either...I don't understand if he's saying all the hydraulics are jerky (like mine were) or if it's just the dipper cylinder. If it's just one cylinder doing that i would pull it apart and examine it for seals damage. They may be...

    Jerky

I don't believe in snake oil either. My guess is that it's so much thicker and tackier that it smooths out the fluid movement a little and slows it down. There's no doubt the jerkiness improved on my machine. I thought it was a try for about $30. I had used Lucas years ago on a Nissan...

    Jerky

I added Lucas hydraulic oil stabilizer to my 3 ton IHI and it helped jerkiness a lot. I estimate my ratio of treatment is about 7-8%. The previous owner was running universal tractor/hydraulic fluid in it and after reading about it I decided not to change it out because it was new oil already so...

I can take some pictures but it will be next weekend before I get back to the machine and the Tuesday after Labor Day before I can post them.

Yes if those ever wear out I’m welding it shut and using that cylinder to run a thumb. Don’t really need the offset in the woods but I did find it handy a time or two so I could eat my words as time goes on. Good luck finding the hoses. If you can’t find them premolded just get some universal...

When I saw offset I’ll show you the picture. Yours swings from the base but my base is fixed and the offset happens in the middle section. Useful for certain situations but I would prefer a swing setup. I don’t have any manuals but once you go over the machine with a fine tooth comb you’ll...

I would love to see how you setup a divertor from the swing! I don’t have a swing but an offset type boom which I could divert as well. For now I have a mechanical thumb but it’s a pain to jump off the machine. Would love to go hydraulic thumb because I am going to be carrying a lot of rocks.

I’m attaching copies of the seals order but I can’t remember which goes with which cylinder. Very simple to measure with a set of calipers and if you don’t have a set a cheap HF set will work. You’ll figure out the nomenclature. MCW= metal clad wiper The pressure seals I bought do NOT need a...

It’s easy to measure for those seals. I can post a picture of the seals I purchased from Hercules but there’s no way to know if those are the exact same cylinders. They sure look alike though!
