I dare a dozer operator to show me a better floor grade

Not if they are the type that thinks back blading is a no no. When in all actuality it produces less wear on the blade parts than pushing.

Yeah good old bench marks, and grade stakes. And laser levels, that is all I got to use then. Oh and usually it was a one man show no helpers.

    Shipping question

Anyone know of an inexpensive shipper or ? Item weighs about 12,000 lbs, and from Wisconsin to Wa about 1800 mile according to Google maps. I'm guessing about an 8 foot by 8 foot, foot print.

Wow, might have to start doing it all the old fashion way?

    Unusual Wear on D9H Roller

If that was one of my former bosses junkers, I'd remove the track frame to weld it up like you say. Not everyone has a way to properly bore it out, or the cost and time to get someone to do it. It would take some fitting but a final grind with a die grinder could do it. Just remember most all...

What the hell was I thinking! A tale of land development and our 1st rodeo in such.

I want all the rain we can get. It beats the alternative.

Engine only runs with full choke

I seemed to have to flash the old miller on the service truck I was using back in the day, don't know why it would not hold the magnetism. Either a crusty mess carburetor, or fuel pump/ restriction and its not filling it all the way.

Greetings from a new automation learner

We all here mostly work on tractors and that sort of machinery. Yes there is more and more automation added to them nowadays, but not many here are into the control systems. So your likely looking more for folks that deal with machines like machine tools and industrial robotics. I suppose PLC...

    Simple things difficult to find

Yeah but still need to have a taper attachment, spend the time etc., purchase the over priced material etc etc. at least can cut off most all of the barbs on one that is over barbed. Part looks simple, but still have to plan ways to hold it. Easy sure if you know how to do it. ;)

    Simple things difficult to find

Good finds and thanks a bunch. And likely, some times the good price is ruined by the shipping costs.

    D9H foot brakes

Since all is good now, how much $ total on the whole machine? Hours to fix etc etc. Seems like everyone likes to keep the $ a big secret, why? Some owners of high end cars like to brag about the huge $ spent on things like oil changes. :D
