Kubota 080-3 Is there a away to tune the hydraulic system on an older Kubota 080-3. The motor bogs under small loads and seems taxed. Hydraulics are jerky. Whining all the time like its working too hard. Still produces maximum pressure and destrokes fine. Engine seems fine. Also the travel speed button is not able to shift between high and low. There is no signal coming from controler. But it shifts fine if you hot wire coil directly.

It sounds more like a hydraulic control issue than a pump failure since it still makes full pressure and destrokes correctly. The whining and jerky movement could be caused by cavitation, a sticking servo valve, blocked suction strainer, or incorrect pilot pressure. Since the travel speed works when the coil is hot wired, I would also check the controller, wiring, and travel speed switch circuit.
