How much money in labor and parts costs do you suppose have been saved by lurkers &
HEF members since the start of HEF? And most of the time not even a thankyou for all
the free, learned by hard knocks info.
I believe someone had a thread about thanking @Nige for all the help he has given folks over the years, and he dang sure deserves it.

And that's correct he does/did deserve it--I wrote that simply because this day and age people
have a tendency to let help in solving matters go without a thought. There are some really sharp
mechanical minds on HEF, Mobiletech, Mark250, ahart, Birken Voght, Cmark, Junkyard, Tyler-d4c
Heymccall, meckinc just to name a few. I've seen more times than not allot of forgetfulness
after the fact.

That Platinum Co tri axle Rotator with the Rubber Duck Mockup(NOT Really Drivable) driver stated was over $1mil to buy. Weighs 16,500 steer, with all three axles on the ground at rear is at 68,000 across them. Is a Permit to operate even by itself unit, permit to 165,000 in tow and 125 feet OA Length.

As I've stated before, those things are a total waste of money, nothing but a boom truck crane
which C.O. just loves. Rotator schmo-tater.

The perfect recovery unit is a old Hulcher rail recovery rated at a 100 ton, there were two for sale
recently for 90K. People in the towing biz have lost their minds with those things--it's a recovery
unit not a show truck.

A contractors special---hardly anyone has ever seen or heard of the 1976 Cadillac Mirage.
Gangster liked them for packing bodies around. GM quickly scrambled the pile into the
dumpster of bad ideas, less than 200 built and most all died of east coast rust. Would
have looked great with a ladder rack.

Two funeral homes nearby have One of those and a Pontiac Version, Flower Cars, have racks in rear floor to hold the Floral arrangements to go to the Cemeteries. Have attempted to buy BOTH of them, Neither for sale at ANY price, owners of the facilities been chased on them by buyers for years.
