hie all
cat 424d with serial RXA02451
machine has long cranking and only fires up if quick start fluid used and return line is blocked off or when QuickStart fluid and the injector lines are opened and closed 1 by 1 when cranking.
Troubleshooting
had the stater motor refurbished.
replaced negative and positive terminals.
new electric lift pump fitted.
new diesel filter fitted.
tried also to use a temporary tank to isolate if main fuel tank might be the cause.
