    No fuel at the injectors

I wouldn’t take it out.. that fitting is the only thing keeping u from buying an engine.. If it keeps clogging up and shutting the engine down, the pump needs to be looked at.. And like I said, once it starts surging, shut it down.. or it’ll shut itself down..& u won’t like how that happens...

    No fuel at the injectors

Has it started starting AFTER u took the fitting on the top cover out.?? If yes, it probably doesn’t have to many “revs nice” left in her.. Once it’s starts surging, shut it down and pull the pump..

1980 case 350 fuel pump removal

Your gonna find out that it’s easier with 2 people.. 1 to turn the engine & 1 to look inside the pump side cover with a flashlight for the rotating timing line to meet the stationary line.. Some people find it easier to tighten the alternator belt, so they can turn the engine with the nut on the...

1980 case 350 fuel pump removal

Thank u Tinkerer.. There’s a big temptation to not time the pump to the engine on removal.. Simply because it’s not easy.. Believe me, you’ll thank yourself that u did.!!! You’ll either fight it coming off OR fight it goin on.. It’s much easier to fight it coming off.!! Good luck

what to do and what not to do when a engine runs on its own?

I worked next to a Mack Dealership for YEARS.. I would always get “Mack pumps” in with the brass inlet fitting knocked off flush w the aluminum hsg..?? I finally asked, what’s up with that.?? THATS HOW they stopped a run-away.!!! I toldm a 3/4 wrench works just the same.!!! (Remove the line)...

    No fuel at the injectors

The 1st fitting in the pump/ the last fitting u would take out, get clogged w “stuff” and creates pressure inside the pump.. NO FUEL OUT= NO FUEL IN..

289 C2 Cat Injection pump question

Before u try to start it, AFTER DISABLING THE SOLENOID, loosen the low idle screw so u can back it out quickly, as that will be the only other way to shut it off.. Good luck

289 C2 Cat Injection pump question

That lever is a fueling screw for starting.. DO NOT TOUCH IT. The solenoid just unscrews.. be careful when taking it off.. the spring and plunger will probably stick in the hole and will be captured by the sealing oring.. Just be careful pulling it out/up, it has a tendency to let go all of a...
