    Car Haulers

Most cars are hauled by independent haulers today. In years past they were hauled by auto freight companies like Anchor Motor Freight. Nu-Way is another company I remember. Not sure what caused the change to independents but like you mention many of them are Petes. I do remember White made a low...

    Uniform Rental

Just curious, did anyone from the company cancel the former employee's account?

Is there a parts website for John Deere?

Their mowing equipment is fully supported on their website, I'd imagine the commercial side is too. Get to the model machine you're looking for and hunt for the parts diagram.

    Advice

Completed my job this morning in about 30 minutes, three 24 inch holes 45 inches deep. The soil was clay with rocks, I had to stop twice and pop a large rock with the digging bar because it wanted to kick the auger off course. I didn't have the RPMs cranked, just nibbled at the earth and pulled...

    Advice

I've got an auger attachment for our Cat 304.5 at work. I've run up to 18" holes with no issues whatsoever. The auger is gear reduction so it multiplies the oil flow. I actually picked up a 24" auger at United Rental today to use tomorrow, I'll let you know how it works out.

Beer Money to First Person to Figure This Out!

I'd be looking at the harness to the mobility joystick, sounds like there could be a broken wire.

Goodbye SSL & Excavator, Hello Mecalac

Interesting machine!! Seems like it could be more efficient though if they put a push blade on both ends rather than the stabilizer. I've been in situations with the mini excavator where that would be handy. The hydraulics and mechanism are already there. Please keep us posted once you start...

    Kaufman Trailers:

Yes. Standard was dual 16s on two axles for a total of 8 wheel/tire combos. Four 17.5s offers the same weight capacity.

How do I get this wheel off ?

Those "wheel studs" are actually lug nuts over another wheel stud and have to be removed. You'll need the socket to fit them.

1984 Ford F600 Dump Box Grain Truck V8

cuttin edge, that's the 9000 model. The lighter duty models had a slightly different dash.

1984 Ford F600 Dump Box Grain Truck V8

It's an L-600, not F600. There's pages on Facebook dedicated to the series that might help you source parts. I know from reading they're getting more scarce. Tires don't look like they'll pass inspection, too many cracks in the sidewalls. It appears to have been a highway department truck, if...

    Unbelievable!

Here's the repaired joint. I painted it with cold galvanizing paint and sent them back to be remounted. I can't believe a fencing company would turn out a product like that!!

    Unbelievable!

I mange the property maintenance department of a nearby municipality and I had received a call that a chain link fence gate needed attention. I was a double gate 8 feet high and each section 8 feet wide for machines to pass through to access a baseball field. I have never in my lifetime seen...

    Kaufman Trailers:

I opted for the 17.5 wheels on both the equipment trailers I bought over dual 16s. Less weight and total cost and easier to change if necessary. I agree with Acoals, they're the way to go.
